I went to the Grand Hyatt Atlanta for business. The hotel is well located in Buckhead, within walking distance of most of Buckhead's attractions. It's directly across a quiet side street from the hotel, no big deal, though it is pricey. The hotel's common areas are very pretty, as you'd expect from a Grand Hyatt. The check-in staff honored my request for a non-smoking king room on a high floor. Very courteous and professional.
We ate in the rotating restaurant on the roof. It was quite pricey and average food. I guess you pay for the view, right? The room itself is very traditional and nice. Very clean. The furniture is a little outdated, no flat screen tv, but it certainly didn't negatively affect my stay. The bed was great. The bathroom was roomy and comfortable, though nothing spectacular. My floor was very quiet, which added to the stay.
Stayed here for a business convention. The hotel is very nice. The rooms are on the small size. It is a hotel room so you do get spoiled staying in a timeshare. The staff is very helpful but it's a big hotel that was crowded so you really don't get special attention. The room was clean and smoke-free.
The restaurant upstairs is nice but pricey.
You are right in the heart of Atlanta with many nice restaurants close by. I would recommend the Brazilian BBQ place across the street. More on the expensive side but great food, service, and atmosphere. Portions are large.
The MARTA transportation rail is really great. It is so convenient and so clean. It's easy to get around to the ball park or other sites.
