this resort has everything you would need right there if you prefer to relax and not indulge in cabo itself, but if you would like to exsperience the town and mingle with the locals, there are a steady stream of shuttles that will take you and pick you up at their sister resort right downtown for free. the activities desk was very helpfull in putting together a fishing trip for us with setting up a time and getting us a discount. they have a ton of different things to do to fill your days.
The resort itself is beautiful but the wind blows like crazy
out there and you absolutly cannot swim off that beach.
They do have a shuttle that will take you into town to
the other Pueblo Bonito Resorts which are located on the
only safe swimming beach in Cabo. The resort is built on
a really steep grade and there are carts available to give you
rides up and down. It is somewhat isolated and some people
like that aspect. I prefer the other Pueblo Bonito Resorts
because of their location even though Sunset Beach is newer.
In fact, I bought one of the ones located in town.
My husband and I own here and it is a newer, very secure, 5 Star or Lime resort. You are right on the Pacific Ocean and every room faces it. The grounds and rooms are beautiful and there are many pools. Little carts take you up and down the resort. On the very top is the Sky pool and hot tub. The view is 180 degrees plus from there! The staff is very helpful and honest. They have 3 restaurants that serve from casual to high end food, with wonderful, frequent, entertainment. The resort has a bus that takes people to the two other resorts, where you can charge drinks or food to your room. The resorts are on the main beach in Cabo San Lucas, which have lovely views of the famous rocks of the Cabo. Our favorite sight seeing places in the area are Chelleno and Lovers beaches for snorkeling, Cerritos Beach, Canyon de Zorro, and walks in the resort for birding.
