We stayed for one week on a timeshare exchange with RCI (sorry timesharejuice, I already had it booked last year :) at the Club Intrawest. This resort has one of the best locations in the downtown area being in the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel. It is on floors 28-30 in the north tower of the Sheraton.

Club Intrawest guests have all privileges of the Sheraton such as room service, in room WiFi (free for Intrawest guests, just get the password), daily local newspaper delivered to your door each morning, hotel restaurants, Starbucks in the lobby, spa, gym, pool, availability of taxis, tours, etc. Starwood Preferred Guest members can have them input your member number so you can get points on any hotel charges such as meals.

The CI lounge on the 29th floor (limited hours) has a computer, newspapers and tourist info, restaurant menus and a staff concierge. You can also use the services of the Sheraton concierge.

We were in the smallest size unit, a studio apartment (room 2855) with a kitchenette. In the entry way is a closet with a small safe and a recycle bin. The kitchen area is in the entry hall along one wall with a granite counter, microwave, sink, bar size fridge, stainless thermal pot coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster and a two person supply of dishes, cups, glasses, wine glasses, flatware and a cutlery set.

The studio units have a small seating area with one chair, a tiny bistro table and two dining chairs. The room has a birds-eye view of the city from the floor to ceiling windows. My only complaint about the unit is that the living area only had the one comfortable chair.

The queen size bed is to one side of the room and was very comfortable with good reading lamps and end tables with drawers. The TV is situated to this side of the room in an armoire that has several large storage drawers. The chaise at the end of the bed also had two large drawers. There is a CD player but no DVD.

The bathroom was good sized for such a small unit with a granite counter, single sink, large walk-in shower, and toilet in a private closet. There was a hair dryer and some nice smelling bath products.

The central downtown location means that most major sights (including the wonderful Stanley Park) are within walking distance. You can also walk a few blocks to the small ferry dock to get to Granville Island.

We loved the city of Vancouver, the great restaurants, Stanley Park and the market at Granville Island and would gladly return to the Club Intrawest (or the Sheraton) due to the great location.
