We recently stayed at Club Intrawest in Palm Desert in November. It is located on the Desert Willow Golf Course and across from the Marriott Desert Springs Resort. (Tip: Guests receive 15% of golf at Desert Willow ). The resort was well maintained, and had nicely maintained grounds. The resort has a very nice check-in/lobby area with an adult pool, fitness center with locker rooms, and theater. There was complimentary internet for guests and the condos are Wifi ready. Our patio had a nice table and outside fireplace. Buildings 12-16 surround the family pool and barbeque area. There were no children at the resort at this time so it was very quiet.
The 2 bedroom lock-off has 2 master suites with the main master having an extra large walk-in shower off the side of the bedroom. The kitchen is a little under-stocked. It could have used a few more pots and pans, bowls etc. The blender was not a full size one, only big enough to mix 2 drinks. The refrigerator/freezer is not a regular sized one either, is split, and is built into the cabinet area. There was a Ralph's supermarket a few blocks away which is really convenient.
Something I would change: There is no regular oven in the unit, only a microwave convection oven. I don’t know if all the units are the same way. Also there is no dining table inside. The patio table has to be used for dining or the bar area with 4 bar stools. I guess the idea was that most guests might be eating out more than cooking in.
Club Intrawest Palm Desert last November. It sits on the Desert Willow Golf Course across from the Marriott Desert Springs Resort. We traded for a 2 bedroom lock off.
The condo was well maintained, and had beautifully manicured grounds. The resort has a very nice check-in area with an adult pool, fitness center with locker rooms, and theater. There was complimentary internet for guests and the condos are Wifi ready. We stayed in building 12- 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Our patio had a nice table and outside fireplace. If you want to overlook the pool be sure to stay in buildings 12-16.
There were no children at the resort at this time so it was very quiet. Our unit also looked out onto one of the Desert Willow Mountain course's fairways. I highly suggest if you are reserving a 2 bedroom that you request the lock off style. The 2nd bedroom is basically the hotel unit. It has a mini kitchen and king bed and large bathroom. If you reserve a regular 2 bedroom, the 2nd bedroom would have 2 single? (double beds) and no mini kitchen. So the 2 bedroom lockoff has 2 master suites with the main master having an extra large walk-in shower off the side of the bedroom. We found the kitchen to be a little under stocked. It could have used a few more pots and pans, bowls etc. The blender was not a full size one, only big enough to mix 2 drinks. We were surprised and a little disappointed to find that there is no regular oven in the unit, only a microwave convection oven. Also there is no dining table inside. The patio table has to be used for dining or the bar area with 4 bar stools. I guess the idea was that most guests might be eating out more than cooking in. We did our groceries at the Ralph's supermarket a few blocks away.
Overall we had a wonderful stay at Club Intrawest Palm Desert. The location is great and the property is beautiful. We would definitely stay there again. Golfers? Guests receive 15% discount at Desert Willow.
I bought this timeshare at an auction. I wasn't sure what to expect. I had never been to Palm Desert before. We came for the week to play golf and hang out by the pool. We could not have been happier with the unit we received. We are staying in a one bedroom unit that overlooks the golf course and the pool. The units are very spacious and tastefully decorated. There is a laundry in each building and a barbeque grill right by the unit. I have stayed in many resorts and I would gladly come back to Club Intrawest in a second. The golf course on site is beautiful as well. I highly recommend this resort and if you play a lot of golf like us you will be in heaven. It's a great course and it's right here. Enjoy!
This is a very nice resort. It deserves the good ratings that it gets. It's clean and new looking. Great service and staff. The food is good. It is a very relaxing place to go.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom with a nice terrace and fireplace and table and chairs. Every room looks toward the pool and spa and the golf course. There are separate family and adult areas/pools. The full kitchen feels more upscale and includes newer appliances etc. There is also a BBQ by the pool areas. We went to the Ralph's shopping center down the street a bit to stock up for the week. That was great. The resort has its own theatre (for DVD's) and video game room.
The nearby golf course has great breakfasts and lunches, while the shopping/restaurant area of El Paseo is nearby.
We did visit the Marriott across the street. That is more upscale. Beautiful amenities. The whole resort is really nice. We will definitely stay there some time soon. I can recommend to anyone that is looking for a place to swim or golf and relax with family or friends or even a romantic getaway.
