Timeshare Juice in the Shark Tank!
Hey everyone, TimeshareJuice.com was featured on the show “This Week in Startups”. The show’s personable host, Jason Calacanis, does a segment called “Shark Tank “( just like the show on NBC) every few months. Jason, a very experienced and successful entrepreneur, brings another successful entrepreneur to the table to critique a startup company.

Similar to the hit NBC show, the entrepreneur gets 60 seconds (yikes!) to make a pitch about the business. So the goal is to explain the business and get the audience excited. Then Jason and the guest as well as the audience rates the entrepreneur on a scale of 1 to 10 on both the “pitch” and the “idea”. It’s a very exciting segment and the show’s ratings explode whenever the “Shark Tank” segment is on.

I want to mention one thing. There was one miscommunication during the segment. During the pitch, I mentioned the term “social network”. I thought it was clear that Timeshare Juice is NOT a social network and that we integrate with Facebook which is THE social network in the world today. We merely use a social network to get people onto our trading platform. We don’t compete with Facebook at all. We want to be the trading platform for all timeshare trading in the world. We’ll leave the social network to Mark Zuckerburg and the Facebook Team. Our goal is saving timeshare owners lots and lots of money and getting more and more people on great vacations. Perhaps that wasn’t clear.

The feedback was extremely honest and helpful. I can’t thank Jason, Tyler, Emily, Mike, and even Alex (who left to take a job in NY but has always been a great supporter of our business) enough for this opportunity. Not only did I learn a lot and got advice from experts but the Timeshare Juice website exploded with activity (not to mention Jason became a member himself!). We had our biggest day ever on the site! We also received a bunch of emails from people that watched the show live and loved the segment and loved the Timeshare Juice idea. It was an incredibly positive experience. Thank you!
